Dani Pedrosa T Shirts
Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa has spent his Premier Class seasons of MotoGP close to the top. Dani's journey to World Champion runner-up began with his debut in the 125cc class in 2001 under the guidance of Alberto Puig. After clinching the 125cc World Championship title in his 3rd season, he stepped up to the 250cc class. His first year in the Quarters ended with a third place finish over all. The next two years proved Dani was at the top of his game with 2 consecutive 250cc World Championship titles in 2004 and 2005.
In 2006, Dani Pedrosa began his MotoGP career in the Premier Class. In his first two years, he earned himself an impressive 27 podiums, but the Championship has escaped him thus far. Second overall in his rookie year, and third overall last year, Dani has proven that he is indeed a very talented rider. He has been a formidable opponent, engaging in epic shoot-outs with the likes of Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner and even his 2008 teammate, Nicky Hayden.
2009 found Dani at the top of the boards again. With fresh talent in the form of Jorge Lorenzo, and rivals Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi at the peak of their careers, riding to recapture and defend the title, Pedrosa ran solid races throughout the season to not only crack the top 5, but maintained his 3rd place standing in the World Championship. He entered the 2010 season with a renewed contract with Repsol Honda, and high hopes for a Championship win. He came closer than ever by capturing 2nd place overall, only to be beaten by superstar, and fellow Spaniard, Jorge Lorenzo.
For 2011, Dani will remain with Repsol Honda and teammate Andrea Dovizioso and will pick up a third team member, Australian throttle jockey, Casey Stoner.
