After the terrible accident at Mugello, in which he suffered a compound fracture to his right leg, it was estimated that Rossi would be out for nearly five months. Valentino amazed everyone when he was back on the bike at Sachsenring.... and finished an incredible fourth!
At the next round in Laguna Seca, Vale thanked all those who had helped and supported him in a special way. The Faces helmet is a tribute to all those friends.
