Some motorcycles raise the bar. Others rewrite the rules. Honda's original CBR600F, better known as the 600 Hurricane, clearly rewrote the rules.

Introduced along with its big brother the CBR1000F, Honda's 600 Hurricane was a revolution. The reason was visible in the Hurricane's aerodynamic, full-coverage bodywork. Less visible was the technology that blew away every other middleweight sportbike on earth and forever changed the way sportbikes were designed and built.

Released in 2003, the CBR600RR was designed to further excel in the 600cc supersport category both on the track and on the streets.

The RR (which stands for Race Replica) was developed from and inspired by the Honda RC211V MotoGP bike. Similar in both appearance and technology, the RR literally brought the highest performing sportbikes in the world into the amateurs garage.

Honda's 2004 CBR1000RR ushered in a whole new era of inline-four Superbike performance. Replacing the CBR954RR, the 1000RR also took its technical cues from the MotoGP-winning RC211V. The CBR1000RR ultimately redefined Superbike for Honda.

The CBR line has certainly improved over the years but one thing remains the same - Honda has consistently produced high performance, well-bred and affordable sportbikes.

Honda CBR

The original Honda CBR600F concept, known as the Honda Hurricane through 1987 and 1988, was the platform of today's entire Honda CBR line. The 1000RR was introduced in 2004 to replace the CBR954RR. The line has certainly improved over the years but one thing remains the same - Honda has consistently produced high performance, well-bred and affordable sportbikes.
